Istanbul Turkey Europe, seen from Asia

The picture shows the Istanbul district of Sultanahmet, where the most important monuments (such as the Hagia Sophia) are located, photographed from the Haydarpaşa station in Asia. After my arrival in Istanbul, I immediately went to the European Sirkeci train station, then bought a ticket for the train departing at 23.30 pm to Adana ( "Içanadolu Mavi"), then I took a ferry over to Asia. From Eminönü (next to the train station) there were no connections anymore, so I had to walk over the bridge to Karaköy, from there I could take a ferry to Haydarpaşa. The train was open already two hours before departure, it left Istanbul puncutally at 23.50 pm for Adana, which is more than 1000 km away and which should have been reached the next evening.
